Holy Baptism
Holy Baptism is
an important sacrament in the Christian Church because it is the door of
the spiritual life. In the sacrament we attest that the newly baptised is
a member of the body of Christ, and part of our family. By clicking on this link, you are already wanting to know something about baptism. To help with that, we arrange a conversation with the Rector to explore the meaning of baptism, looking together at the gift and responsibilities of baptism. Baptism is a joyful
celebration of God’s gift. Baptism is also an important and solemn step
because in baptism Jesus Christ makes disciples, calling us to take up our
own cross, following him or in the case of infant baptism godparents take
on that responsibility of passing on that commitment when the child
reaches an age of maturity and attempting to model that life.
